OTA - Xion catch all for Mid Feb (CW: suicide mentions)

This is not how we stay hidden!

Well, Xion has come to accept that killing herself is pointless until she can find a way to erase people's memories of her here. But she is still trying to actively avoid letting people make memories of her, so she is mostly avoiding people. She hasn't been to her dorm, she might have ghosted into a few classes late if the door was left open, the stand in the shadows near the door, but would flee if spotted. In town she also tries to stick to the shadows and stay hidden.

Which works passably well for the first day or two. Until the incident. For some reason someone thought that she was someone else, some singer or... something. Some Somebody. They screamed a name, and when she looked over, confused, they took that to mean they were right. Next thing Xion knew a mob was forming, screaming that name and... chasing her. Because no way was she standing still for that, and even with her Keyblade and powers...what could she do? These weren't Nobodies, these weren't Heartless, she couldn't ATTACK. So she RAN.

Sunsets and surprises

So those who have already met Xion probably know that she thinks everything would be better if she were dead and forgotten. This isn't to say that her idea of this is groundless, but it is certainly concerning. So what might also be concerning is that she has developed a habit of exploring to find ledges and rooftops on tall buildings, looking for one where she could sit and watch the sunset.

But she's never told anyone this is what she is doing, or why she is wandering around ledges near the end of each day.... So it might look a little concerning...

Staying hidden

Help came in the form of Eleven darting out from behind a building, sword drawn. He took a stance between the mob and fleeing figure to hold them at bay and prayed he wouldn't have to do anything further.

"You shouldn't follow them any further," he said into the pause that followed. There was a stand-still for a beat and a few people broke off at the sight of his sword, but he watched the more zealous followers come to the conclusion that he was outnumbered.

Their bodies tensed, and unwilling to use force, Eleven turned into a sprint himself.

"The temples," he urged, though he'd just come from that direction. "They won't dare."

OMG, So this will mean she's met a I and an XI. She is going to be so confused! TY!

Xion looked at the person who helped her from under her hood. She had no clue what was going on, or who this was, but at the moment following orders was easier than escaping on her own. She nodded once, but had to wait for the other to lead, having no clue where the temples were. Or what they were....

Beautiful! He'd almost be just as confused xD He'll have to meet that person sometime

Seeing the figure's steps falter, Eleven flashed her a smile as he passed and led them into the First Ring. They were faster than their pursuers, he noted with satisfaction and a subsequent burst of energy.

"Through here!" He called, ducking off the main road and wound them through a few alleys in an effort to throw off the mob while they ran.

They burst back out near the grand steps to the Temple of Raida. Eleven took them two at a time, but stopped short before the entrance. He turned to his companion, winded and leaning on his sword.

"Did.. did we lose them?"

If we get a Xemnas and a Marluxia I will be incapacitated with laughter, I think

She raced after him, once they had a direction. Often if there was stuff in their way, Xion's answer was an easy up and over, rather than going around. She was quite agile and nimble, whoever she was. And apparently used to running. She wasn't even winded when they got to the stairs and was right on his heels, stopping when he stopped.

"I thought you were watching that..." she admitted. She has just falling back into the junior role of shut up, follow, don't speak until spoken to that she'd had to have on missions with anyone other than Roxas.

It would be gloriously confusing. He's only been reincarnated once okay!

"What?" He half-laughed, straightening and giving their surroundings a once-over before sheathing his sword. "When did I have time for that?"

It could just be that he's too used to Erik doing that without a word.

"Don't see them, but could still be around. Inside.. for now? It's safe."

She wanted to shoot back When did I? but she kept her mouth closed.

"...."

But she nodded to his suggestion, though inside meant trapped, potentially. She really needed a map....

Eleven led the way inside, breathing a sigh of relief as soon as they stepped over the threshold. It was far more opulent than any temple he's been to before, but he'd decided on his first visit that he loved it.

He gestured to the statue commanding the room. "Raida, this world's benevolent goddess. They won't bother us here."

Eleven gave his mysterious companion a long-side look. "..I hope you aren't some sort of criminal, but they didn't look like knights."

Webby's many things... but subtle ain't one of them.

"HI XIV! WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP THERE?"

So asks - yells- Webby from one of the windows, waving around at her.

Xion was startled, and nearly lost her footing. But she'd been up on ledges her whole life - nearly every day for a whole year! Even in those boots, she managed to regain her balance.

She hesitated, not wanting to explain, not wanting to talk. But... She looked out,, trying to decide if this would be a good spot. Sadly the angle was off. It had looked fine from below, but up here she could see too much right in front of her to the right. For one person it would be fine, but like an idiot... she was looking for a place for three.

"The icing on the cake..." she said softly, all the reply she was planning to give as she considered if it would be faster to get down by jumping rooftops on smaller and smaller buildings, or just take the stairs again.

"DID YOU SAY YOU HAVE CAKE?" Weby was already beginning to climb out of the window, wanting to join Xion to do... whatever she was doing.

"What? No! It's an expression!" she cried, startled.

"Oh." That was a little disappointing. Oh well! She moved on, and continued to climb up. "We could find some cake and eat it here. Wouldn't that be neat?"

"I've never actually had cake. And this place isn't right." Since Webby was coming up the side, she headed back for the stairs.

Peridot hasn't met Xion yet. She's simply looking for her own place to watch not the sunset, but the stars that will come out after. There's a particular ledge she's grown partial of in the first few days, and she's surprised to find someone else there tonight.

"Oh... Hello. I didn't think I'd have company."

Xion froze, seeing someone else there. Why did so many people here notice her?!

She shook her head. "I will leave," she said softly.

Peridot blinked. Shyness was something she wasn't used to in a person.

"You don't have to. I mean, it's not like I own this place. And you were here first, anyway."

She shook her head. "It isn't quite right." And perhaps with that she'll be allowed to go without further conversation.

Xion wouldn't be allowed to leave with comment just yet. Peridot prided herself on being an intellectual Gem, yet she couldn't understand what this human was talking about.

"What's not quite right? I'm saying you can stay. Did you want to be alone, or something?"

"This place was not what I was looking for, so I am leaving." How much simpler could it be? "Just forget I was here, and I will leave you in peace."

In all honesty, Fluttershy hadn't realized Xion was up here. She had been worried about the other girl since their first meeting, and had kept an eye out for her while attending classes. But she hadn't been actively seeking her out, mostly because she didn't want to scare her away.

So it was entirely coincidence, as Fluttershy headed up to the roof of one of the buildings as part of a routine she'd developed that involved feeding the local birds, that she happened upon Xion, causing her to hesitate for a moment.

"O-Oh...hello."

Xion took a step back, hearing her. "I'll leave."

"N-No...!" The exclamation startled some of the birds, so she cleared her throat and tried again. "Y-You don't...have to go. I'm just feeding some of the birds, it won't take that long."

She doubted that they'd be able to talk, but she didn't want to chase her away either.

She shook her head. "This place isn't right, anyway." And she eyed the lower roofs, debating if she could make the jump to avoid having to pass the other girl.

"Isn't...right for what?" she can't help but ask. She also can't help feeling a bit concerned as the other girl kept looking down towards the ground below.

...how difficult would it be to call someone right now?

She shook her head, edging closer to the ledge. That looked like a jumpable roof below. If she had Cureaga, she wouldn't even hesitate. Of course, if she had her powers she'd have long since RTCed so she could have found Naminé and tried again.
