March Event and Intro Log
One of them seems to have had it. The renegade golem bursts into Kedrigan Hall -- interrupting classes and disrupting labwork to furiously seize students and scrub every last scrap of mud and dirt off of them. All the halls have been locked off with "Under Cleaning" signs, and anyone who enters them meets with the golem's wrath, as it violently plays a pre-recorded message about not interfering with groundskeeping and deploys a giant claw-like tool to grab the interloper and put them back on unforbidden ground. The professors, who are after all completely immune to the golem's attention by its very design, seem to think this is a good learning opportunity for students. Is it?
"Of course I'm sure," the second says confidently. Whipping out a wand from a holster on her belt, she sweeps her wand through the air gracefully, pronouncing several Osmarian sigils as she draws them. Probably. "See, that's a blue cloud--" Said blue cloud, which puffs into being as the last syllable left her lips, abruptly doubls in size. Then it doubles in size again. And again. The upperclassmen, who have been in Diatu for several years and know exactly what this sort of thing means, don't hesitate. Not even stopping to share a glance between them, they run like crazy, leaving the growing cloud behind just as classes let out and students begin to enter the halls. But... surely it doesn't have any weird and wacky side effects, right?
This month, the team has developed a Sundering spell that they warn is crude and unpolished, because the Curriculum is so unpracticed. They hope it will connect to your home worlds and establish a magical link they can build off of to open further passages. No promises! And to those who do undergo this spellwork... it has a certain side effect of confusion, as brief images from your home world flicker across your vision for a few hours afterwards.

- If you thread out one or more scenes based on the confusion from "Research on the Sundered", respond to the comment on this post with a link to that thread. The results of this will be revealed next month! (It is, we're afraid, not a regain, lest your participation be based solely on that hope!)

[ he bites his lip. ] I'll just wait it out and maybe talk to my Professor later, but, uhmm, i- in the meantime do you think you could help me, uh... [ this is embarrassing, so he looks aside, flushing a dark shade of red. ] make my clothes fit better?
no subject
I will do my best...though it was not enough, a few moments ago.
[She frowns at that. But it does turn out that she has more talent in Modification than alchemy, as she draws a folded fan from her sleeve, and uses it as a focus, drawing geometric designs in specific areas, and whispering equations under her breath with great care. Maybe it's harder to mess up than alchemy. But it's also likely that Professor Kith makes sure her materials are flawless, too...]
How does that feel? Any better? I do not want to do too much, too fast, but there should be some relief...

You did do your best. It's not like either of us had expected the book to have been defaced.
[ he expels a breath when she makes his clothes that much bigger, a small smile lifting his lips. ] Definitely better. They were getting pretty uncomfortable, but the additional room is as much needed as it is appreciated. Thank you.

Do you need more alterations? And you are welcome, though I do not feel as if I much deserve your thanks.
[[Though he's certainly a kind young man, and she won't soon forget it.]

Maybe just a few more around the, uh, y- y'know. [ clears his throat and averts his gaze as he makes a vague motion over his chest. ] H- Here. [ his gaze snaps back when he says that. ] You do. The mishap wasn't your fault and I'm not going to let you blame yourself for it.
no subject
Maybe. He can have a temper, and I think an injury to an old volume like that might be the thing to do it, [That was an idle musing as she finishes up her work, leaning back and tucking her focus back in her sleeve.]
Though I wish I could fix it, but just the desire isn't enough. I'd either need the missing piece, or to have known what was there to recreate it. Pity, that. [ And there, she sighs.] Thank you, Yugi. I suppose feeling slightly bad is all right, but actually assigning myself blame is not?

If you talk to him there's a possibility he'll know. [ he gives her an encouraging smile. ] You can feel bad that what we did didn't work out, but please don't blame yourself, because it's not your fault. Though, if you must, then share the blame with me. [ he feels much better now that his clothes have been loosened. ]
I'm going to try to sneak back to my dorm, but I hope to see you around.

[Yugi earns himself a confused look, there.] How in the seven hells is it your fault? Other than needing help. Tchah, no, that's foolish.
[And there, she pauses.] Why should you need to sneak back to your dorm? Just tell them that a spell went awry if you are challenged. You do not look that different. Just...like a more feminine version of you. I do realize that does not exactly help, but...
[Yotsuyu waves a hand helplessly at that.] Oh, very well, do as you will. But yes, I shall hope I see you around as well. You are a nice young man.

[ he gives her a smile. ] Thank you. [ and she's a nice young lady! ] Bye~ [ and he ducks out of the room, quickly heading back to the dorms. ]
