What: Webby gives Lena a gift! But there's always much more to it than that.

It occurred to Webby that with all the fussing and planning she was doing over the "protective" friendship bracelet, it was never going to be perfect. Or perfect enough for her, at any rate. Plus, given what she'd learned about Lena's fears and the fight Lena had with Louie, Webby ultimately decided that enough was enough, and her friend needed more than just magical protection - but a reminder of what was important.

So once all the classes were done for the day, Webby sent out her familiar, Jorry the snake, to deliver a message to Lena.

Meet me at Loch Lake in an hour!
"It" is ready to go!

Why the lake? Aside from being a cool, mysterious place that Webby thought was beautiful (all three also described Lena to a T!) , she figured it was far enough away from the school grounds that Lena might relax, given Lena's inherent yet understandable distrust of the school.

Webby was at the lake much earlier than the note said to be, mostly to plan out the last details and practice what she wanted to say.

"It's not something I usually brag about, since they're mostly mistakes."

She smoothed down her feathers again.

"What I really one is an epic one either down my back or across my face!"

She couldn't help a laugh, despite the idea of Webby getting hurt in order to get said scar making her blood boil a bit.

"Like one that runs over one eye? That'd be pretty cool."

But unlikely, if she had anything to say about it.

"Oooh, then I could get an eyepatch, like a pirate!" The idea was making her vibrate with excitement.

"Then I could do a dramatic reveal whenever someone asks!"

She laughed softly. "Just, uh...try not to go out of your way to get one of those, okay?"

"You never know when danger will strike! ... But it probably wouldn't be great to get one now, since it'd be a distraction from my studies."

So, there's your guarantee she (probably) won't get any anytime soon. Also, nerd.

Look, whatever kept her from getting hurt.

"Yeah, it'd be kind of hard to read or explore if you're missing an eye."

"And we don't have Gyro here to make me a cool robot-eye."

Yes, she's considered this.

"So I promise I'll be careful."

She decided not to point out that they could probably find a spell for some kind of magic eye, because that might make the option even more enticing.

"Hey, I'm not too worried. You kick butt better than anyone I know."

She was definitely worried, but knowing Webby could defend herself helped a little.

Ah, praise - especially from Lena - made her practically glow with glee.

"You only say that cause it's true~. But you'll be a deadly warrior in no time, if I have anything to say about it."

"Well, I'll be learning from the best."

Webby laughed, giving Lena a brief hug.

"Don't think I'll go easy on you just because we're friends!"
