Settling in. Open to All

Living Quarters--room 042. Loki was...less than pleased by the items he'd been given, or that he had only a single room. It was better than the dormitories though, and he had made do with far less before. Still, the house robes...Red and Black, while nice, were not his colors.

His mind was already turning with the beginnings of plans. First priority was to learn the magic of this world. Apparently it was more effective than his own, and that annoyed him greatly. So learn this world's magic, get the lay of the land so to speak. Learn more about the major powers. Survive.

Find him in the common hall of the living Quarters, the Library checking books, or checking out Makerion Keep--since he is "House Ka". Feel free to mistake him for a different house with his green, gold, and black outfit however.

Personal Business--closed to Roisin Murphy

While settling in, Loki had not forgotten he'd agreed to help someone here. Roisin had managed to find most of the loopholes, while bargaining with him, and he was pleased. It was always more fun to work with clever people. Besides which, he truly did want to help her for now. Learning more about her unwilling passenger was necessary for his own purposes. Could the demon be friend or foe? How much of a threat was he?

The first step to doing all of this, would be learning more about how the demon was bound. Which meant taking a look at her tattoos. Sketching them, analyzing the way the magic wove through them--he could tell the general pattern, but not the details of the weaving yet. If the spells were 'clothes' she wore, he could tell the clothing was meant to protect and contain, like a coat-keeping body heat in. But the 'how' it kept the body heat in was what he was missing.

So he'll be looking for Rosh, while also learning his way around the campus.

Settling In

Lena's still trying her head wrap around after she is placed at Gekronus Maius and is told of where her dorm is located at. Feeling slightly lost after going around the hallways (even the map doesn't seem to help her), she heads straight for the library to get herself a little familiar with the world of Anastara and hopefully survive this school.

At the moment, she can be seen reading up on some history books regarding on the world's history with dragons.

Loki is on his way to the exit, a reasonable pile of books with him. Coiled around his neck and shoulders, is an emerald green snake with yellow-golden underbelly. He and Einar were getting used to each other still, but the familiar had been a good guide so far.

Recognizing the girl, and several books she's reading from his own skimming of the selections, he moves over. Keeping his voice soft--they are in a library after all. "No gaggle of geese this time?"

"Yep, no sign of any quarrelsome geese to be found here. I bet that the librarian would shoo them away if they try to barge in," Lena looks to see a familiar face once again and seeing that he's got a green snake hanging out around his shoulder.

Some purring could be heard under the table she is using as a lilac-point Siamese cat is seen napping around her ankles. The cat has not yet to be disturbed at the moment.

"It might depend on how well behaved they are." Loki replied, pondering the idea now. Could he somehow let the geese into the library, and would the mischief that made be worth the mess...

Einar shifted his head slightly from Loki's shoulder, looked at his 'wizard', and flicked his tongue out. He looked not quite disapproving, guessing at what Loki was thinking. Loki merely raised an eyebrow at the snake, before turning his attention back to Lena. If he understood the colors right, she was actually the house he merely wore colors similar too.

Now she would have freaked out at the sight of the snake, but she remains relatively calm since she doesn't want to cause a ruckus in the library and get kicked out of it. Also didn't she remember that some wizards and witches kept snakes for familiars in some stories and that she's in a school of magic now?

"Hopefully they would learn to behave themselves as we speak," she sighs while recalling the geese incident at the Great Hall a few days ago.

Then she notices that Loki is also wearing the same colors as her school uniform: she was placed in Gekronus Maius, the house that specializes on Discovery. Either he got placed in the same house she was or he just likes the colors better?

"Say, are you also in Gekrouns Maius too?" she asks him out of curiosity.

The snake appeared quite content to stay looped over Loki's shoulders and neck; nothing to fear here. With her question, Loki smiled mischievously. "Guess." Let's see if she remembered what he'd told her when he'd said he was 'deity' of the options presented, and the God of Mischief.

"Oh right, I nearly forgot that you're the God of Mischief," Lena realizes as she learns the reasoning behind him being in the same colors as her.

Soon enough, the Siamese cat begins to wake up from her nap and do some stretching before being fully awake again. Tail swishing against the floor, she soon leaps up onto the chair next to her then onto the table where she lays down, calm and relaxed.

Her response makes Loki chuckle, smile turning less sharp and more amused. "You have a ways to go, but you're catching on quicker." She was still young--not even an adult by Midgard standards and a mere babe by Asgardian ones.

"Now, is that rare colorings for a Cat, or were you given a basic familiar as well?" Blue-green eyes flicked to the snake around his shoulders. "This is Einar." The snake flicked it's tongue out in response to its name.

The cat merely meows as she sees Einar eye to eye, her glassy blue eyes showing some curiosity that she could've boop him on the snout with her paw.

"Oh this feline over here?" Lena replies as she points at her cat familiar, "That's Marly, she's a lilac-point Siamese cat."

Man, it does feel weird to give your familiar the name of one of your best friends' dead mom: Marly Vreeland had died five and half years ago. She doesn't know why she has chosen that name out of all the female and unisex names she could've think of but it was the first name she could think of when she first met Marly, so she's hoping that Mrs. Vreeland's ghost would not get mad at her right now.

Upon meeting, Loki and Einar had studied each other with some wariness. Which had only lessened slightly, as neither was used to working with people for long. Loki had run through a small list, before determining that the familiar found a name that was acceptable to him. Speaking of which, said familiar was shifting and slithering, moving to Loki's opposite shoulder and stretching out towards Lena curiously. Tongue flicking in and out as he tasted the air, and black eyes bright.

"Well met, Marly." Loki replied, his attention on the cat as he offered a light bow of his body. Mostly his head and shoulders. Still respectful for the feline.

Marly meows as she paws her paw at the air towards Loki to say hello. No really, that cat doesn't mean any harm: she just wants to play or mess around, whichever is in the Siamese's mind lately.

"Oh hello, Einar, nice to meet you as well," Lena greets the snake while giving him a shy wave, "Marly does like to say hello to you as well."

The snake blinked, and flicked its tongue again before stretching further towards Lena. Taking advantage of the fact that Loki was bent towards the feline. Slithering off of his own wizard's shoulders, to bump his head, then start winding around Lena's hand.

Loki, meanwhile, let his hand come up and playfully bat at Marly.

Marly happily boops at the hand of God of Mischief, though she has no idea that he is just yet. Lena soon notices that Einar decides to say hello to her by wrapping around her hand. Maybe it's his way to greeting her, possibly a snake thing: she isn't sure at the moment.

"Have you found something interesting about this school and world so far?" she asks Loki as she does try to pet Einar on the head.

Einar will tolerate the head-petting. For a moment. Before pulling back, and slithering back to Loki's shoulder. His inspection is finished--whether he shares any of his thoughts is another matter.

Loki, meanwhile, will reach and offer to pet Marly if the feline would like. "Learning new magic. I plan to be quite diligent in my studies." Especially since this world's native magic was stronger than his own...
