A Disorganization Of Introductions - OTA

Now that Xion and Lea have found each other, Xion isn’t letting him out of her sight if she can avoid it, afraid to find out that this wasn’t actually real. And that seemed to be mutual, so the two can be spotted the next day constantly with each other, as Xion shows him around from what she’s discovered. Which… mostly means good places to hide.

Xion’s hood would seem to be up to everyone but Lea until she actually pulls it down in the individual threads.

Locked To Webby

They had been walking along, when Xion spotted Webby and paused, not sure if she should approach, or run, or what. Webby hadn’t tried to hurt her or anything, and now that she knew she didn’t have to be forgotten, Webby’s memory was no longer terrifying. But Webby had offered to help with the research on the spell and she should let the girl know that it was no longer needed. But approaching people was still a bit nervous making. She was used to hanging back and letting Roxas or Axel interact with people.

Also… Webby was a bit intense.

But… she really should let her know that they didn’t need to do the research anymore… right? She looked up to Lea, unsure.

Cheerful as always, Webby spotted the two and immediately began heading over.

"Hey you two found each other! That's great! Are you best friends now? Or enemies turned to friends? Did you help her find the spell? ... Oh, well, I guess not, since I still remember her."

She hesitated, then took a breath. "This is Axel. He and Roxas are my best friends. And apparently the spell worked the first time, when Naminé cast it. I... I did what I had to do."

Lea nodded. "Yeah," he said to Webby. "Turns out I did know 'XIV', here; I just couldn't remember. Crazy, right?"

Glancing over at Xion, he explained. "I ran into your friend here yesterday," he said. "I got a little lost, so she showed my how to get to the dorm."

The word friend stunned her a moment. Was... Webby a friend? If Axel said she was then she was....?

Webby just couldn't stop grinning. What a great outcome! And yay, they were ALL friends now! Of course!

"That's wonderful! I'm so happy for the two of you! Who is up for a group hug?"

Please excuse the silence from the very confused puppet Nobody.

Lea chuckled. "I think we'll pass for now," he said. He did bend down and ruffle Webby's hair a bit though.

"By the way, don't think I caught your name," Lea said. "You can call me Axel, like she said, and her name is actually Xion." Because Webby going around calling her XIV all the time wouldn't really do, now that there were other options.

Aw boo. But she'll accept the head ruffle happily.

"Oooh, I like Xion better." Now, time for re-self introductions. "As for me, I'm Webbigail Vanderquack, Webby for short!"

She gave a small shrug. "I thought it would be easier to forget a number, than a name..." she said, quietly.

"Nice to officially meet you, Webby," Lea said.

He looked mildly amused at Xion's comment about names though. "Actually the opposite is probably true," he said. "Not may people go around introducing themselves as numbers, so when some one does, it tends to stick out. Kinda like the black coat that don't help us blend in anywhere other than a dark alley at night." Which was a really good description of most of The World That Never Was, but other worlds? Not so much.

"But then why....?"

Never mind. Once again a chunk of their time can be summed us with Xemnas and Saïx lied.

Webby tilted her head, curious. "Why what?"

*summed up, wow.

"Were we given numbers in the first place?" she asked, softly, looking down at her gloved hands before looking up at Axel.

Re: *summed up, wow.

"Who knows?", Lea said. "My personal theory is that it was designed to dehumanize us even further. Everything about the Organization was, really. It was probably all purposely designed to make sure we'd have as little chance to have individual identities as possible, to make us easier to manipulate."

Turning back to Webby, he explained. "To sum up, our old boss, Xemnas? Was an evil jerk. He's one of the ones I told you to watch out for; tall guy with gold eyes and silver hair."

She nodded a bit. "Him and Saïx. Blue hair, scar on his face...." she considered saying more, but what could she say, really? That he treated her like a thing? She was a thing. That he was cruel? If it was the truth, was he really? Her shoulders hunched in a bit and she looked down at her clenched hands.

Oooh, it was an evil organization. That kind of explained the coats.

"Well, if any of them show up, I'll help you kick their butts." Because that's what friends did together!

"I.... do not think we are strong enough for that...."

"Well given that they'd all be without their powers too, I'd say we've got better odds than you might think," Lea said to Xion.

"But I don't want you mixed up in it if I can help it," he added to Webby. "Don't get me wrong; you seem like a really brave kid, and I do appreciate the offer. But even without his powers, Xemnas would be a tough customer. And he plays for keeps. Better to let us handle things if he ever does turn up."

Xion nodded. "I wasn't able to undo what I did to help him before. If he shows up... I can do what I should have done before."

She wouldn't let Xemnas hurt anyone here. Not without going through her.

"But we're friends, and friends help each other." Webby countered. It was very difficult to tell her "no" and make it stick.

"Look, if I can't fight this guy off, I can at least give you moral support." And then fight him when they weren't looking.

"Moral support is OK," Lea said. "As long as it's from a safe distance. Got it memorized?"

He smiled but the look he the look he gave Webby was pointed. Webby, you aren't the only kid to have done more than your fair share of really inadvisable things; Lea knew the signs and he was onto you.

What... was moral support? Well... she was sure that Axel would explain it later.

"Safe distance." Webby repeated, giving double thumbs-up. "I give you my word."

"Alright," Lea said. "I'll be holding you to that. And don't think you can weasel out of it on a technicality. I've done that before myself, and I can recognize it."

"Anyway," he continued, "since there's no more need to help Xion with the spell, would you two be alright with the three of us having ice cream together sometime later this week? I figure today'll be kinda crowded, but other than that..."
