Now that Xion and Lea have found each other, Xion isn’t letting him out of her sight if she can avoid it, afraid to find out that this wasn’t actually real. And that seemed to be mutual, so the two can be spotted the next day constantly with each other, as Xion shows him around from what she’s discovered. Which… mostly means good places to hide.

Xion’s hood would seem to be up to everyone but Lea until she actually pulls it down in the individual threads.

"But then why....?"

Never mind. Once again a chunk of their time can be summed us with Xemnas and Saïx lied.

Webby tilted her head, curious. "Why what?"

"Were we given numbers in the first place?" she asked, softly, looking down at her gloved hands before looking up at Axel.

"Who knows?", Lea said. "My personal theory is that it was designed to dehumanize us even further. Everything about the Organization was, really. It was probably all purposely designed to make sure we'd have as little chance to have individual identities as possible, to make us easier to manipulate."

Turning back to Webby, he explained. "To sum up, our old boss, Xemnas? Was an evil jerk. He's one of the ones I told you to watch out for; tall guy with gold eyes and silver hair."

She nodded a bit. "Him and Saïx. Blue hair, scar on his face...." she considered saying more, but what could she say, really? That he treated her like a thing? She was a thing. That he was cruel? If it was the truth, was he really? Her shoulders hunched in a bit and she looked down at her clenched hands.

Oooh, it was an evil organization. That kind of explained the coats.

"Well, if any of them show up, I'll help you kick their butts." Because that's what friends did together!

"I.... do not think we are strong enough for that...."

"Well given that they'd all be without their powers too, I'd say we've got better odds than you might think," Lea said to Xion.

"But I don't want you mixed up in it if I can help it," he added to Webby. "Don't get me wrong; you seem like a really brave kid, and I do appreciate the offer. But even without his powers, Xemnas would be a tough customer. And he plays for keeps. Better to let us handle things if he ever does turn up."

Xion nodded. "I wasn't able to undo what I did to help him before. If he shows up... I can do what I should have done before."

She wouldn't let Xemnas hurt anyone here. Not without going through her.

"But we're friends, and friends help each other." Webby countered. It was very difficult to tell her "no" and make it stick.

"Look, if I can't fight this guy off, I can at least give you moral support." And then fight him when they weren't looking.

"Moral support is OK," Lea said. "As long as it's from a safe distance. Got it memorized?"

He smiled but the look he the look he gave Webby was pointed. Webby, you aren't the only kid to have done more than your fair share of really inadvisable things; Lea knew the signs and he was onto you.

What... was moral support? Well... she was sure that Axel would explain it later.

"Safe distance." Webby repeated, giving double thumbs-up. "I give you my word."

"Alright," Lea said. "I'll be holding you to that. And don't think you can weasel out of it on a technicality. I've done that before myself, and I can recognize it."

"Anyway," he continued, "since there's no more need to help Xion with the spell, would you two be alright with the three of us having ice cream together sometime later this week? I figure today'll be kinda crowded, but other than that..."

"Without Roxas?" she asked, startled. What if Roxas showed up and thought they were replacing him....?

"Just one time, for now," Lea assured Xion. "You did pretty much tell her that she'd have ice cream with you after she helped you out, and she helped me out yesterday too. Figure this'll be a good way to say thanks, you know?"

She looked down at her hands. Yes, she had. But she had thought then that they wouldn't remember her, wouldn't be here, wouldn't be upset. But yes.. she had. She took a breath then looked up at him. "We'll still buy one for Roxas too, right?"

Was Roxas another friend of theirs? Sure, why not! Ice cream for everybody!

"Yeah, let's get one for all of us, plus Roxas!" She cheered.

She looked to Axel still, letting him be the one to choose.

Though really, even if he said they didn't;'t have to... she was buying one for Roxas anyway. She'd just keep it in her pocket.

"Roxas... isn't actually here," Lea informed Webby. "At least not yet. But the ice cream thing was something special we did together after work whenever we could."

"So yeah," he said to Xion. "We'll get one for Roxas too. Just in case." And one of them could always eat the extra one in the (highly likely) event Roxas didn't turn up. Lea had a feeling that Webby would have no trouble eating several ice creams on her own, if it came down to it.

She nodded. Alright, then. So long as they got one for Roxas. "Maybe they'll have the right flavour today." If luck was with her. She didn't know that magically, it was.
