Eagull Eyes - Backdated closed log
Who: Xion and Link
What Eagull hunting and first meeting.
Where: Where the Eagulls congregate
When:Backdated to the time of Sho and Link's Circular Logic thread Just before Roxas arrived.
Warnings: Video game violence and angst.
Xion has been making her ice cream munny mostly by doing Eagull hunting missions. It was odd that she wasn't forced to do a mission every day and only did them on the days she chose, but she tended to do them often, afraid to find out that it was mandatory after all. Lacking her Keyblade, she's been using a large branch and a fair amount of thunder magic. Also running. She was very good at the running away until only one or two were after her, to make the odds better for herself.
She never really thought to ask Axel if he wanted to join her, figuring since he hated missions, he was probably happier to not. So she worked on her own. And anyway, since Saïx arrived.... she's been very confused. Fighting the Eagulls turned off that part of her brain for a while since she had to focus on not being destroyed. Again. She wouldn't do that to Axel. So... she stopped worrying for a few hours and just focused on her missions. And after... she could join Axel for the icing on the cake.
Her usual routine these days. She really hadn't expected someone to come across her as three Eagulls cornered her. Not something she couldn't handle, but the lack of room to move was making it a bit tricky....

"Is... that a heart thing?" she asked softly.

Link smiled. "I mean, I'm okay with weapons, but, I sure don't know half the stuff we're learning. Or, uh, didn't know until they taught us."

Link brightened. "And they'll probably eventually teach us healing potions, I bet!"

Noa, Fluttershy, even that persistent duck girl Webby all seemed to have forgotten she existed already. So they would hardly notice if she vanished. Sora vanished, and no one but her seemed to notice, and he was a Somebody, with a heart and everything.

Link is completely earnest, smiling gently. "There's no reason to assume no one would care about you."

Or, there was a glaring problem with her world, but, that would be rude to say. And Link's House was all about manners.

Sure, there's a few bad ones. But, there really are far more good ones than bad."

"Everyone dies," he said, a little bewildered. "It's just the natural end of a life. No one specifically tries to---okay, most people, don't try to kill other people."
