What: It's a very bad day.
Where: Anywhere & everywhere.
When: Immediately following his Discovery of what the Deathtoll card does.
Warnings: Yugi slowly but surely losing his mind.

[ yugi had stayed overnight in purifuel, but at the crack of dawn decided to head back to his own dorm, because one, he didn't want to get caught and two, he needed some time to himself. that's part of the reason he hadn't planned on going to class, but the distraction might be welcome. maybe. he's not really sure he's going to be able to focus on anything but how terrible a person he is for using that stupid card. he smothers his face with his hands, trying to keep it together, which is difficult when he's exhausted and guilt ridden. ]

[Cliff throws his head back and laughs, palms up and hands clawing the air. It's almost as if he's delighted by Yugi's lie--even as he points to call him out.]

Do you think I'm blind? Or have you not thought this through? [Point, point, point, he thrusts one of his arms out to direct Yugi's attention to his own decks. FOOL! Are you so cowardly that you won't face me in an honest challenge?

[Honest...mmmkay but whatever's got him in thrall at least makes Cliff think it's honest, so...]

... [ well shit. he thought he could just bolt following the little white lie, but cliff catches him and brings attention to it in front of everybody. ] An honest challenge? [ at that he's got to scoff, though he's been come to be known as one of the best fantastic foils players, so declining a challenge... well, it probably doesn't look good. ]

[ yugi huffs a sigh, growing tense, because all eyes are on them. ] Why do you want to challenge me? At least give me that much.

Who wouldn't want to take down the best? [Hey, while it might not be likely, if one could topple Yugi from the pillar of "best of the best", who wouldn't want to at least make the attempt? That was Cliff's view. Besides, there was always a chance, right?]

If I beat you, then I'm definitely gonna get noticed. So why not?
