H2Oh No - OTA

Who: Sho Minamimoto and whomever is unfortunate enough to cross his path

At first the grim heaper hardly noticed the trickling water. This place was weird, weird things happened here. He was mostly used to it by now. So a trickle of water - okay often more than just a trickle - following him around...that was just the cost of being a reaper here.

Or so he thought.

Until one day the water was eroding a trash tower he was building and the whole thing - a perfectly balanced work of art held together by flawless calculations and precise placements - shifted ever so slightly as the water nudged a few key supports. The whole mess crashed down on top of him.

Maybe you found him under the trash heap and helped get him free? Or maybe you found what was probably the most hated teacher on campus trapped under his own trash and made things worse? Took photos? Or maybe you saw this coming and tried to warn him....

Now Harry has been studying for an important test in Alchemy for a while now: thankfully it is a practical test that will require him to know the ingredients and procedures for potions and the like without relying on books too much than a written exam, so he wants to get onto it and prepare for it.

But his Alchemy studying comes to a major screeching halt when he overhears a pile of trash falling apart and water rushing in. Confused and terrified, he runs out to the trash pile, blinks his eyes numerous times, and looks at it in shock. Can someone explain to him what just happened while he was busy studying?

"So zetta lame," someone growled from under all that mess as it shifted; the reaper trying to pull himself free. "What sort of factoring hectopascal noniterative zero has been messing with my flawless calculations? Zetta son of a digit..." he kept growling as he fought for his freedom.

His confused stare breaks as soon as he turns to see a guy trying to get out of the pile. Whatever the man was doing before the water got the best of his work, it must be rough on him right now.

He quickly deploys kinetic magic to assist in putting the garbage aside so the man can get out of there safely, though he isn’t sure if he will thank him for the help.

“So um, do you think it’s possible that somebody forgot to repair the pipes below campus or something? Because I could hear the water coming in towards this pile from where I was studying for a test,” he informs him.

He got to his feet, wiping himself down with disgust once Harry moved enough that he could get free.

"You factoring hectopascal zetta zero! If you heard the H ti the second plus O multiplying why the fractal didn't you add yourself to the solution sooner?!"

“Look, I’m sorry: I wasn’t that fast enough to react quickly and freeze the water from washing whatever you’re working on away,” he apologizes profusely, not to mention possibly sweat dropping in embarrassment.

The pygmy owl is also looking at Sho, being more confused than Harry would be and hooting so quiet that it is hard to hear it. Also all the math stuff flew over his head, adding to the young man’s confusion.

He managed to squirm out from under it finally and scowled. "Maybe you need to multiply your speed!"

“Um, okay then, I’ll probably remember it next time,” he sighs while the pygmy owl hoots in confusion.

Honestly, maybe if Sho had yelled or shouted for help before his work fell on top of him, he might have reacted quickly and freeze the water stream on its tracks. Though he knows that he is actually at fault for not dropping his notes for once just to save that work.

"You better, you factoring son of a digit! I could have been erased! My at has been destroyed! My flawless calculations reiterated!"

Oh no, he’s really getting angry at him now, he better go find the source of the water stream and do something with it with his ice magic before the other man gets mad at him.

“Right, can you tell me where that stream of water must have come from? I want to be able to locate the source of it before I can try to freeze it up,” his voice quivers in fear as he speaks.

"That zetta factoring H to the second O has been following me for t=30D!"

“Um, pardon me, what are you trying to say to me? I can’t seem to get all the math references,” Harry ask for clarification, he really needs to find that water source quickly before the water stream could potentially flood the entire school.

"You yoctogram! How can you have zero braincells and still function?!"

He could have sworn that he gulped hard in horror down his throat as he hears those words. Muggle maths weren’t being taught in Hogwarts to begin with, so it does sound foreign to him.

“Erm, I didn’t have math in my old school, or at least the math you talk about,” he tries to explain himself, “But I really need to find that water source right away, please!”

Beetlejuice took a sip of coffee.

"Looks like the water had other artistic ideas," the demon said unhelpfully.

"So zetta funny," he growled. "Now subtract these additions from my back you zero!"

"But, you are one with your art!"

He made a bored gesture and a pair of clones appeared. Beetlejuice pointed with his coffee mug and the pair walked over to dislodge the Maths professor.

"How about I divide your head from your body and we see what happens when I divide a zero!"

"Sounds fun!" Beetlejuice enthused, while his clones nodded cheerfully, still trying to dig Sho out.

"Zetta factoring son of a digit," he growled, trying ti squirm free as things loosened over him.

"Never thought of calling Ma a digit."

"Anyone can be iterated!"

"Honestly, I'm just hoping she stays worm chow for a few centuries."

"Noise erases more permanently."

"Uh-huh. Probably not demons, pal. That'd take an exorcism and I'm not gonna do that to Ma, because if it got screwed up? She'd do that to me."

The clones successfully moved enough trash that Sho could now get free without causing another cave-in.
