[Open] To Lose Time
Who: Eleven + Anyone!
What: Settling In Catch-all
Where: Various
When: First few days/first week
Warnings: Possible spoilers for Act 2 leading into 3
1. Classes
Despite the urging to take up Draconic Knowledge, Eleven ultimately resumed his previous class schedule without change. And so, dressed in the deep blue robes of Eiather house, he attempted to settle back into the monotony of classwork.
"I recall some of this," he mused quietly, in the lull of instruction when they were meant to be working. Eleven himself wasn't terribly focused, writing sporadic and distracted. "But those memories are vague.."
2. Dragonfire Library
Given a need for somewhere to read and write quietly, Eleven found himself swiftly seeking out a library. While memory served to remind him that the Temple had one, it wasn't until he purused some of the more esoteric tomes of this library that he recalled why he'd had a preference for Raida's. Still.. the information he was looking for likely wasn't all that common.
Various books with titles featuring the word or concept of 'time' made up a small pile on the desk as he flipped through them, brows drawing increasingly closer together.
He set one down with a frown and a quiet admission.
"..Maybe these aren't going to be helpful."
3. Temple of Raida
He'd stood outside for longer than he should, at this point. His golden hawk familiar bristled on his shoulder, catching the light, then shifted to turn its head and preen. Eleven reached up and brushed his finger down the soft breast feathers.
"I should, shouldn't I? You're here, after all. I think that means something."
4. Wildcard
[ooc: feel free to make something else up if these prompts don't work for you! I'm happy to roll with most anything. prose/action is fine.
Also happy to accept TDM threads as canon if you'd like]

"Yes. I've altered time enough for one- or two- lifetimes to know it shouldn't be done lightly. I only want to understand more what's happened."

Tenn returned Eleven's book and then glanced at his own stack. Now that the spines could be seen, they all seemed related to old forms and pre-codified magic.
"I've been thinking that if Sundering is based off a dragon's magic, perhaps it is older than anything being taught in Diatu Academy."
no subject
"It's a type of dragon magic?" he asked, not certain he's heard that before. "That's interesting. Perhaps it's why the researchers were having such trouble with it before."
no subject
"Maybe. Obviously, Sundering has been codified to be used by us, or we would not have a class here. But I believe the manipulation of Sundering demonstrated during the Three Dragon War may be an older form. Perhaps that accounts for the time variance?"
no subject
"The recent war," he repeated, increasingly concerned. He'd heard something about the Three Dragon War, but he hadn't thought it was anything recent. "Did something like that happen here, while I was gone from this world?"
no subject
"This past winter, the ghost dragon, Grieve, emerged from the caverns and cast magic that caused more than half the Sundered to vanish. Presumably, he reversed the spell and returned them to their worlds." Which sounded fine, assuming everyone made it home – like Eleven. But Tenn wasn't so sure, this being dragons they were dealing with. "Following that, another dragon by the name of Mournless attacked him. Mournless claimed to have been the one who summoned the Sundered, with the intention of breaking Codified magic."
no subject
But there was something missing from the tale. "And there was a third dragon?"
no subject
"Ire came to the academy by invitation last winter. It was fortunate for us he was still here, since he protected the city." This place would be a mess otherwise. "Though I suppose the rumors are misleading, since he didn’t actually fight."
no subject
"I'm glad the damage wasn't terrible. I hope the conflict didn't cost too many lives."
no subject
“Ire’s here teaching, you know. You should meet him, even if you don’t take the class.” Tenn considered their stacks of books. He could glean more from it if he knew draconic history, possibly. “I was hoping to take it myself, but my schedule is full. And I’d prefer to stay in Sundering for the time being.”
no subject
"I've chosen classes for their ability to complement Forging," he nodded understanding. "And the others are necessary. Unfortunately, it doesn't suit my schedule either, but I will endeavour to speak with him at some point at least."
