[Open] To Lose Time
Who: Eleven + Anyone!
What: Settling In Catch-all
Where: Various
When: First few days/first week
Warnings: Possible spoilers for Act 2 leading into 3
1. Classes
Despite the urging to take up Draconic Knowledge, Eleven ultimately resumed his previous class schedule without change. And so, dressed in the deep blue robes of Eiather house, he attempted to settle back into the monotony of classwork.
"I recall some of this," he mused quietly, in the lull of instruction when they were meant to be working. Eleven himself wasn't terribly focused, writing sporadic and distracted. "But those memories are vague.."
2. Dragonfire Library
Given a need for somewhere to read and write quietly, Eleven found himself swiftly seeking out a library. While memory served to remind him that the Temple had one, it wasn't until he purused some of the more esoteric tomes of this library that he recalled why he'd had a preference for Raida's. Still.. the information he was looking for likely wasn't all that common.
Various books with titles featuring the word or concept of 'time' made up a small pile on the desk as he flipped through them, brows drawing increasingly closer together.
He set one down with a frown and a quiet admission.
"..Maybe these aren't going to be helpful."
3. Temple of Raida
He'd stood outside for longer than he should, at this point. His golden hawk familiar bristled on his shoulder, catching the light, then shifted to turn its head and preen. Eleven reached up and brushed his finger down the soft breast feathers.
"I should, shouldn't I? You're here, after all. I think that means something."
4. Wildcard
[ooc: feel free to make something else up if these prompts don't work for you! I'm happy to roll with most anything. prose/action is fine.
Also happy to accept TDM threads as canon if you'd like]

So as he wandered, he found the Luminary with an unfamiliar companion on his shoulder. The bird was beautiful and that had him slow his step, not wishing to startle the creature so caution was best here.
Staying a few feet away, he then addressed the boy. "I see you have someone new to share adventures with in this place."

"Hendrik," Eleven breathed, settling. He soothed a hand down the hawk's back. "Ah, yes. This is- well, his name is Glorious. As you can see by his coloring, he lives up to his name rather well."
no subject
"So it appears in this place you now have a protective guide."
And he still hadn't made a move towards either one.
no subject
To Hendrik, he grinned, albeit a touch sheepish. "Yes, I suppose I now have two of those, here. The Goddess demonstrates Her will."

He turned thoughtful eyes back toward the temple. Neither had the priests asked for much in way of oaths. But even with those fears unfounded, still he hesitated.
"Back then, I was desperate for a connection to Her," he said quietly. "Now, I wonder if it's enough to have Glorious, or if it's a sign that She wishes me closer."
no subject
"I am sure that you will find that out."
no subject
"Well," he said, shrugging. "I'm going to need funds for forging again. I can't think of another job that would better suit."

"I don't think I could make something like that here, but I could fashion a good pair of blades, at least. I'll just need some practice to remember what I'd known of the art, before. I know the materials won't be cheap."
no subject
And that didn't mean that he intended to let the other off of the hook as far as training went.
no subject
"No, I didn't forge those; they were made by a master smith, I'm sure. But I can make something serviceable with some refresher lessons and the right materials. ..I'd appreciate your help in that, if it wouldn't be too much trouble."

"I'm asking as a friend," he clarified at length, "For all I appreciate your devotion, it isn't my intention to hold you to my whim."
no subject
Did Eleven feel that they were friends? When had that happened? So of course he had to ask the obvious because slow knightly minds are slow.
"So you consider me a friend as well as a companion, correct?" The word 'friend' seemed to be an odd taste to his tongue because the only other person he'd had as a friend was Jasper and he knew how that turned out.
no subject
"I have, at different points in time," he answered honestly. Once, when they were here before, it felt as though they'd grown closer. Again, back in the their world, after forging through an uneasy alliance. Now, after turning back time, they would be enemies again, but-
"I've done my best to earn the friendship of all of my companions. So I'd like to again, if it's possible."
no subject
Of course he'd done that already, but that hadn't changed his purpose even as they both found themselves back here in this place.
So he nodded. "I would like that." Beyond those words, the knight felt humbled to his core and wasn't sure what else he could voice.
no subject
"Then we're equals. You can ask favors of me as well. I enjoy helping my friends."
no subject
"I will do so." Though of course asking for help might be a tall order. Still, he turned his attention to the Luminary's new companion. "This new friend of yours seems to be a great asset to keeping you safe."
no subject
"He'll help keep an eye out for me. I should be able to send him to you if I'm in trouble, too."

He gently prompted Glorious onto his arm, then lifted him up for a better perspective from which to see Hendrik.
"This is Hendrik. He's my friend and bodyguard. If I'm ever in trouble and he isn't at hand, this is who you'll need to find."
