Ka Dorm
Ugh. This was where she was supposed to stay? With all these other people? Gross. Well at least she was going to make it clear which was her bed so that everyone knew what to not touch OR ELSE. First to go was the basic bedding. A simple spell changed her bedding to purple and black. She dropped her knapsack and sprat painted her name on the top of the blanket. Her pillow cases became livid green with purple and black dragons.

Her familiar, a seven headed hydra the size of a steamer trunk, curled up on her bed once she was done, just south of all the wet paint. Mal pulled her bed away from the wall and started decorating that as well with her spray paint. She painted a coiled black and purple dragon in a sea of green and purple flames. The effort took her hours out of the first day and when she was done she pushed the bed back just shy of against the wall so the paint could dry and grinned. Good, she had measured it properly, the front claws looked like they overhung the head of the bed. She painted the claws over the headboard and called it a day.

Shoving her new school stuff under the bed, she put her pack back on and headed out to see what mayhem she and Hayley could cause.


Bringing some color to the halls
Mal, her dark purple hair bounding, her leather and metal outfit all but screaming "keep away" even if the monster trailing behind her didn't. She had issues with it being a hydra, but she wasn't about to admit to them.

So she stalked the halls, scaring off whoever she could and whenever she had a moment alone... spray painting her tags all over the place. She's having fun, okay?


Class
Mal will go from class room to classroom and pick the best seat in each class and carve her name into the desk and the chair. Woe betide any who take her seat when she saunters in late. But still, feel free to catch her in the act. Why not bother the villian while she's holding a knife and thinking of defacement?

"I'm sorry, but I'm really not following you. Could you have me mistaken for someone else?" One of Yugi's acquaintances, maybe? Also he was still dubious of her nature. It was one thing to call yourself evil, and quite another to embody it. Did she think that by being edgier she could stand out more?

What she asked next certainly gave him pause, since he'd actually experienced amnesia before. Taking a few moments to retrace his thoughts he replied," I don't think so.. you stole my couch?" This was getting more confusing by the moment.

Oh for crying out loud. "Atem, listen to me already. No, I didn't mistake you for anyone else for the love of evil! I know who you are! I've known you for almost a year now, I lived in your apartment for a while. I might have dropped your toothbrush somewhere unpleasant once or twice when you took too long in the bathroom. I kind of figured that was why you moved in with your boyfriend frankly." And was insulted they hadn't asked her to paint their apartment. Maybe then she would have known who he was dating.

"You do seem to know my name..." Atem offered, lending the girl some credence, he still could not recall her name however. "I had an apartment?" After that query he shook his head. If he questioned everything that rolled off of her lips they wouldn't get anywhere. That bit about the toothbrush does get him to narrow his eyes and shoot a pointed look at her, but before he can react with the proper level of disgust the greatest bombshell of all was dropped.

Jaw dropping, and cheeks darkening, the once eloquent pharaoh can only scramble for words. "Now I know I would have remembered if I had a boyfriend!" No, he didn't. I mean, the last time he'd lost his memories, he'd forgotten family and friends alike, across the board.

"Who was it?" Curiosity demanded answers, but not ones he was going to get here.

"Devil if I know. You never said." She shrugged. "If Sylvando were here I;d say ask him, but so far seems like it's just you, me, and Seto or Kaiba, or whatever he calls himself. I'd say maybe he knows but he's claiming not to even remember the kingdo..... oh Dalmatians. You too?"

"I'm not sure whether to be disappointed, or relieved." He answered truthfully. As she proceeded to talk she mentioned the name of someone else he apparently was supposed to know from this other life. "... I hate to display my ignorance again, but who was Sylvando in relation to me? A friend, perhaps?"

"Yes, I had noticed that Seto Kaiba is here. He prefers his surname with most, with few exceptions." She was providing information so he would as well. "I do remember a kingdom but I get the feeling we wouldn't be talking about the same one."

"I did rule Egypt at one point in my life..."

She snorted. "Yeah, you look like a king. Right." She wasn't buying it. "As for Sylvando, yet to meet anyone he didn't see as a friend. He was your roommate till you moved out. Ugh, this no memory thing is irritating. You still owe me though, even if you don't remember why. Not true villian forgives a grudge because of a little think like amnesia."

"The average height used to be considerably shorter..." Even though his priests all towered over him like stone statues. "So... you think I'm dressed this way to accomplish what exactly?". Verbally drawing attention to his ensemble filled with gold and including his unique crown. It was the outfit he was wearing when drawn here. "If he does show up, I will question him about what we've discussed."

He could understand the frustration since it could go both ways. Why couldn't he remember? Part of him wanted to blame the puzzle around his neck, not that he had it in the Magic Kingdom and if he had, it's powers would have been negated. "Can you at least tell me why I owe you this great debt? Also, your name?"

"I wasn't talking about the height. I was talking about the fact that all this?" she leaned to tap some of his jewelry if he didn't stop her. The temptation to palm some was strong... "Clearly trying to hard. You look like Chad," she said with a snort to make it clear it wasn't a compliment.

"The name's Mal. as to the rest..." she grinned "That would be telling. And then you might figure out how to appease me before I can get my revenge, and then where would the fun be?" She smirked.

Raising a fist to his lips, he gave a little cough, like.. of course it wasn't about the height. He allowed her to get closer not even thinking she might be tempted to steal anything. "I'll be sure to inform my court, since they too are 'trying too hard' by your standards." It was said in jest as he gave a shrug, letting it slide. It wasn't imperative that she believed him, even though he had no reason to lie. Let's face it- the members of his court did love their gold adornments.

"It's ... been an experience to meet you Mal, this time. I can only imagine what it was like before." If she wouldn't tell him, he wouldn't feel obligated. Others in the past had claimed he was responsible for mistreatment that turned out to be false. Why not be upfront with your accusations? "If you stole my couch, and I didn't take action to retrieve it that debt has been repaid."

"Retrieve...."

She stared at him for a moment then shook her head, patting his hand like he was a slow child she needed to lavish with false comfort. She used that to palm one of his rings. She wasn't one of the two best pickpockets on the Isle for nothing. Jay regularly got Anthony Tremaine's watch off his wrist when the evil grand-step-son was alert for it.

"Not that kind of steal," she said dryly. "This is that kind of stealing," she held up his ring and tossed it back to him. "As in I crashed there a while. It isn't a repayment of debt that you were too afraid of me to try and kick me out."

It was fortunate that his eyes didn't leave her features as she enacted this seemingly innocent gesture, unsure of what she was held up on. Apparently it was his word selection that had tripped her up, and she thought him a fool. He had meant that he hadn't kicked her out of the apartment but was trying to be cute about it. Also, when the ring left his possession he knew about it almost immediately. Nothing wrong with her skill, but he was used to catching slight of hand tricks quite regularly.

There was no look of surprise when she presented it, he merely opened his hand and caught the ring in his palm. Wise decision, Mal., he thought to himself, as he could tell that it wouldn't have taken much to activate the puzzle's abilities now, and it was almost insistent that he initiate one of those forbidden games of retribution. "I highly doubt it was fear that dissuaded me."

"Did you get such a negative impression over this year you knew me?" Said as he fitted the ring back around the finger it was lifted from. "It sounds as if you were provided shelter when you needed it."

"Sylvando was the one who offered. Besides, I thought people wanted the villains to think poorly of them." She tossed some hair back over her shoulder with an amused smirk.

"And I hardly needed it, I was just fine sleeping where I was. Sylvando was the one bothered by it."

"Without consulting his roommate?" Presumably he still would have had to have given the ok. Then again, if he hadn't been asked- maybe that's why he left. Sylvando didn't have to be a considerate person. "It's never been my aim to give people cause to lower their opinions of me." Sometimes, it just happens, usually due to ideological differences and actions.

"If he was worried, then he likely had cause to be. He was at least being a good friend towards you. Is he also a "villain"?"

She snorted. "Hardly, he's one of the most sickeningly goody goody sorts you'll ever meet. I swear, he could fuss over my mother. You know, for the whole second before she sets him on fire and eats him, or curses him to sleep for a thousand years or something."

Throwing him for another loop with that one.

"He reminds me of someone I know," Smiling fondly at that. Although he had heard Yugi had returned, he'd yet to run into him. "Wait. Your mother is a cannibal?" This was suddenly a more pressing subject than Sylvando. Clearly, this was another person who possessed skill with the magical arts from the description but... what? Just what? Why would she want to eat another person? Unless, Sylvando wasn't human.

It would be so much simpler if the other party was here too...

Or giving her a chance to try to be scary...

She smirked again. "Why do you presume that my mother is human? I'm not."

"What are you then?" Crossing his arms in front of his chest he awaited another likely to be incomplete or evasive answer. "There are a few other species in attendance that I am aware of."

"Same as my mom, actually. Half dragon half dark faerie. All evil." In case he had forgotten.

It would have been impossible to forget the "e" word. "Some of my most loyal companions are dragons." Or dragon fanatics. Or conceal dragons in one half of their soul (long story). The mention of that species reminded him of something critical. If the puzzle was up to full strength then the Egyptian Gods, two of which is a dragon, might also be. The sort of power Slifer could wield alone, could threaten the fabric of this world. Or so he considered.

So no summoning monsters anytime soon..

Unless he started with, oh say, Kuriboh. A monster with low attack but a useful effect. He looked distracted for a moment but was soon back with her.

She laughed. "Is that your way of saying you want in my crew?"

"It's just a statement of fact. If your "crew" actually delights in the tormenting of other souls, then I'm afraid I couldn't be a part of it." Ie. Evil. Still, he was doubtful she could be as bad as she liked to insist.

".. However, this other friend of yours that you mentioned doesn't sound like the type that would engage in such a pastime."

"Why do you feel as if you need to hide behind this mask?"

Ugh. "Thinking this is a mask... that's a dangerous pastime. I'd rethink that, if I were you."

"Right, right," He replied flippantly, intaking a breath after. "What could I possibly be thinking? Someone who is truly the most nefarious of villains would be offering ample warnings beforehand." Meaning that most the opponents he faced didn't advertise it.

He couldn't imagine even the most outlandish of his former foes, Maximillian Pegasus, coming out and saying something to the effect of, Guess what Yugi boy, I'm evil and in a few days time you'll be receiving a video tape that will trap your grandfather's soul in it. No, Pegasus skipped all that and just sent the video tape. Who thinks of themself as evil? Someone with a low self esteem, perhaps?

His enemies fought with purpose- misguided though those could be, they thought themselves to be justified and correcting a wrong dealt to them by life.

"I'm sorry, are you actually being stupid enough to try to get me to actually prove how evil I am by taking you down? Strange, I didn't remember you being that stupid..." She slid her spell book out from her jacket. "But if you really want to see some trouble, happy to oblige."

"That's not my intention at all." Atem hadn't meant her to take that as a challenge, but apparently she had. As the book fell easily into her hand, he felt the strongest jolt from the dark forces swarming around inside of his millennium item yet. Fear flashed through his eyes, that she likely attributed to her own actions, but he was more afraid of what he might do in defense.

Hadn't he mastered control over the puzzle long ago? What was making it so unpredictable here? His gaze became unfocused as an internal struggle took precedence but soon he snapped his attention back to her.

"No, no.. I would rather not go down this route!" He instinctively took a step backwards. "... You really don't understand your own danger in this.. and... to make matters worse, neither do I." Mal might be stubborn and oddly insistent but she hadn't really done anything to warrant either a shadow game, or the penalty that would follow. ".. I should go." Said more to focus himself than to inform her.
