hyperdrivemonalisa: (I beg your pardon?)

"White chocolate. It hasn't got cocoa solids in it. It's got an entirely different flavor, and like the name says, it's not brown at all. Red velvet is a type of chocolate cake. Uses Dutch chocolate, which turns red when some vinegar's added. Not enough to make things taste funny, though. And you don't know what cheesecake is?"

Isabel's a bit surprised by that, but she carries on gamely. "You're in for a treat. It's usually made with a type of sweet Italian cheese called mascarpone, but there are other ways to make it, too. It's got a graham cracker crust. This is probably just plain cheesecake, but there are other types, too. Chocolate. Fruit. Really versatile and really tasty! I'm not much of a baker, but my great-aunt is, so."

She laughs, then. "I'm lucky I'm so athletic, or the only shape I'd be in is round." It's a joke, hopefully one that doesn't fly over Loki's head!
