A Disorganization Of Introductions - OTA

Now that Xion and Lea have found each other, Xion isn’t letting him out of her sight if she can avoid it, afraid to find out that this wasn’t actually real. And that seemed to be mutual, so the two can be spotted the next day constantly with each other, as Xion shows him around from what she’s discovered. Which… mostly means good places to hide.

Xion’s hood would seem to be up to everyone but Lea until she actually pulls it down in the individual threads.

Sora had raised a hand in turn to wave back excitedly before Lea actually spoke up, and in no time at all he was making his way over.

"Yeah, sure I do!" He... wasn't actually sure if he had somewhere to be soon (he'd hardly taken the time to memorize his schedule), but he wasn't about to say no regardless. He all but ran over, only slowing to a walk once he was significantly closer. Confused as he was, the smile he gave the figure standing next to Lea was as friendly as ever. He trusted him enough to explain himself, at least, and he figured that any friend of his was a friend of Sora's (honestly, Sora wouldn't have said no to being introduced to literally everyone on campus-- he just liked meeting people).

"Uh, hey, nice to meet you!" He glanced sideways at Lea. "So... I guess this is one of your friends?"

Lea smiled. "Sora, this is Xion," he said. "She's one of my best friends. And she shares a really important connection to you and Roxas too." He'd be happy to elaborate further if needed- and suspected he might have to-, but he wanted to give Xion a chance to say something first.

Sora blinked, furrowing his brows as his hand moved over his heart in an almost entirely subconscious gesture. "She's... connected to Roxas?"

Well, she had to be, if she'd had a hand in him waking up... but what role had she played in the whole situation? It wasn't as though he'd remember one way or another, but surely someone would have mentioned her at some point.

"I, uh, yeah, I'm Sora," he shook his head a little, scratching his cheek as he attempted to pull his focus back into the moment. "Heh, I guess you already know that. But if Ax-- uh, I mean, Lea trusts you, then so do I."

Yeah, Lea might need to do that. Among a lot of other concepts that he'd need to explain.

He nodded to Sora. "Xion is what's called a Replica," Lea explained. "The Organization created her to try and duplicate Roxas' powers, but that copying worked a little too well, and she wound up with some of your memories inside her. So she had to return to you the same way Roxas did for you to be able to wake up. But thanks to the way she was created, once she returned to you, no one could remember her any more. At least not consciously. Even I couldn't, until I ran into her here." That was really the shortest way he could think of to explain the whole painful and confusing mess; hopefully it would be sufficient.

Lea looked a bit sheepish at Xion's question. "Man, knew I was forgetting something in my explanation," he said. "But yeah, I honestly don't know why Roxas doesn't look like Sora. Actually, he looks like this other kid I met once when I was a kid back in Radiant Garden named Ventus; somehow he and I became fast friends, but I never saw him again after that one day. Almost forgot about him. Then years later Roxas turned up, and I couldn't believe it; the two of them were identical."

He paused slightly. "I never actually told Roxas," he admitted a bit sheepishly. "Didn't want to run the risk of him up and vanishing on me too."

"Oh... that's, uh... that sounds complicated. I'm... really sorry."

Admittedly, he still wasn't entirely sure he understood, but, well, he got the general picture. It made him uncomfortable to even dwell on it, truthfully. The fact that two people had to disappear just for him to wake up; he wished he could've had a say in it. He would've rather stayed asleep than let that happen. But explanations aside, it was an offhand detail that Lea mentioned that caught his attention far quicker. Sora looked up to him sharply.

"Wait. Ventus? Like, Aqua's friend Ventus? You knew him?" He crossed his arms, head tilting with confusion. "But... why would Roxas look like Ventus? That doesn't make any sense."

Then again, there was a lot of things that didn't make much sense anymore; sometimes Sora could hardly keep track of it all. Still, it wasn't anything they could really afford to dwell on at the moment-- there wasn't even any way to find Ventus here, after all. He wasn't sure if there was a way to get Roxas back here, either... unless there was a spell to make a body, but he somehow doubted they'd be teaching something like that in classes.

But either way, he nodded his head in resolute agreement as Xion looked to Axel. "And of course we'll get Roxas back! Back home, we're already working on figuring out a way-- me and Ienzo and everybody else. We're going to help him. I promise."

"Yeah," Lea agreed. "It's... kind of a mess. You can thank the Organization for that." They were the ones who'd had Naminé mess with Sora's memories to begin with, without which none of the rest of it would likely have happened. He did give a nod of thanks to Xion for her correction, though; the whole thing still confused him, honestly, so clarification helped.

Then a more definite nod to Sora at his exclamation. "Yeah, the very same," he said. "Course, at the time I had no idea how significant he was going to be; to me, he was just this weird kid I met and made friends with once. Once I knew we were looking for him, I mentioned it to Master Yen Sid before I headed back to Radiant Garden, but since the fact that I ran into him once didn't really tell us anything helpful..." He trailed off with a shrug.

"And yeah, I think the fact that we'll get Roxas back is one thing we can all agree on," he said. "How we're going to do that though... well, that's the million-munny question, isn't it? But I'm sure Ienzo and everybody'll figure it out. I mean, Ienzo was kind of a genius, even as a kid, and Even is just as smart, even if he can be pretty arrogant about it sometimes. Plus they've got Merlin, Master Yen Sid and others to call on if they need help; they're bound to be able to come up with something."
