A Disorganization Of Introductions - OTA

Now that Xion and Lea have found each other, Xion isn’t letting him out of her sight if she can avoid it, afraid to find out that this wasn’t actually real. And that seemed to be mutual, so the two can be spotted the next day constantly with each other, as Xion shows him around from what she’s discovered. Which… mostly means good places to hide.

Xion’s hood would seem to be up to everyone but Lea until she actually pulls it down in the individual threads.

"Mm, that's true," she said with a nod. "I'd hate to think of what could happen if someone gets a spell like that wrong."

She considered that. She'd never really had spells go wrong for her. Generally they worked or they didn't, and if they did they were either strong enough or they weren't depending on what she was fighting. But they seemed to know what they were talking about, so she stayed quiet.

"From what little I've been able to pick up, that's why 'Sundering'- the kind of magic that brought us all here- was made illegal in the first place," Lea said. "Too much chance for it to go badly wrong. I mean yeah, most of us aren't exactly happy about being here, but we're not likely to deliberately cause much trouble. They could have just as easily pulled someone or something a lot nastier in though; it's just dumb luck that they didn't."

Even just the thought of that made her shiver a bit. "R-Right...it's kind of good that our magic or powers from our worlds don't seem to work here. If someone like that is brought in here, they won't be able to do anything for a little while at least."

Hopefully it would give them enough time to find a way to stop them.

"Some people don't need magic to be horrible...." she whispered to her gloves, not intending to be heard.

Xemnas, for one.

Lea nodded. "Yeah that's one good thing," he said. "Everybody is on mostly equal terms when they arrive. I mean yeah, we all have different levels of intelligence, physical strength, and things like that, but being without our powers does a lot to level the playing field, even if we don't like it."

"Right. Still, it might be good to keep an eye out for people, just in case."

Even if she hadn't heard Xion, she also knew that it was possible that the people who arrived here might not always have the best intentions.

But in times like those, all the more that they had to look out for one another.

"And without my Keyblade... no one can use me for it, right, Axel?" she asked, softly.

Lea nodded. "I know there's a few in particular I'm looking out for," he said.

"And yeah," he added turning to Xion. "No Keyblade and no Heartless pretty much puts the kaibosh to any attempt to do that again." Not that he doubted Xemnas or any of Xehanort's other incarnations could find other ways to make trouble if they turned up, but they were all safe from that particular scheme, at least.

There were a few she was planning to watch for and stop at all costs if they arrived. Xemnas. Saïx......

She gave a small nod, looking at the palm of her glove. for the first time, she was glad that she couldn't summon her Keyblade at all.

She glanced between the two of them as they spoke. While she didn't understand everything they said, she knew a bit from what Xion had told her before.

"You two have really been through a lot, huh?"

"A lot?"

"She means that a lot of icky things happened to us," Lea clarified for Xion.

"And yeah, we have," he said to Fluttershy. "Though it says something about our world that we're probably not the worst off."

"That is a lot?" Compared to what?

"Compared to anything most people have to go through." Glancing between the two of them, she offered a smile. "I hope things are getting better for you both, at least."

Torn between pointing out she wasn't a person and he used to not be a person for a while or not, she decided to let Axel answer this one.

"Well I'm back to my old self, and Xion and I both found each other here," Lea said. "I count those two things as big pluses."

"Back home though there's still a lot that needs done," he said. "I'm sure we'll be able to handle it though." Mostly because if they couldn't handle it, it likely would mean the end of the world. So failure wasn't an option.

She looked up and gave him a tiny smile from under her hood. He better be counting her as part of the we that could handle it. Because there was no way she was staying behind if she really didn't have to follow orders anymore. Not when he might need someone to watch his back. As much of it as there was to watch.

"Well...I know we're probably stuck here a while, but good luck all the same."

Assuming she was a separate being again by the time of the final battle, he was definitely counting her, yes. Lea knew how capable Xion was in a fight.

He nodded to Fluttershy's encouragement. "Thanks," he said.

"Anyway, it's been nice meeting you- again- but there's still a good bit more of the school for Xion to show me around. We'll see you later, OK?"

Xion gave a small nod of agreement. She still had more hideouts she had found, to share.

With a smile, she nodded. "All right. I'll see you guys later, then."

And, with a wave, she turned to head off.

Lea gave Fluttershy a friendly wave too as she left, then turned back to Xion to find out where they were going next. There was indeed a lot of campus left to explore.
