[Closed] In which everyone but Rapunzel has a tail.

Who: Rapunzel, Dust, Dewey, and Kuja
What: They're Lost!
Where: Anastara
When: July, some point after the bodyswap event.
Warning: None anticipated, will update if needed.

She hadn't been able to figure out what the event that day in Anastara was, but it was sure making traveling through difficult. She'd just wanted to pick up some new school supplies; replenish her stock after midterms, and had headed out with a few friends to do just that...

And now she just wished she'd bought a map, although she imagined she'd have needed a highly detailed one to navigate these narrow, winding alleys. She'd thought about unbraiding her hair to and using it to keep track of where they'd been, but she was hoping it wouldn't come to that.

But she did, at least, have to draw attention to problem at hand, so they could set to solving it. She turned to her nearest companion with a sheepish smile.

"I think we're lost, unless you know where we are?"

"Oh yeah." He smacked his forehead. "Heat's getting to me, I guess?"

He wriggled out of the overshirt, then realized that maybe having that as his only shirt would be a better idea. "Um. ... Can you ... make sure no one's coming? Like, turn around? I think I wanna just wear this one."

He'd swapped out clothes in the bushes on Junior Woodchuck trips plenty of times, so he wasn't bashful about it, so long as he had someone to spot for him. The fact that it was a girl was the only thing making it remotely weird, but ... it was Rapunzel, so ... not really that weird. He thought of her the same way he thought of Webby: like a sister, only not.

"I am! I thought it was pretty awesome. But Huey's in Eiather, too, and he's usually a red guy. Not that it bugs him much, because he's super into all the knowledge." He wiggled his fingers, even though she couldn't see, then wiggled out of his long-sleeved shirt quickly, dropping it on the ground and picking up his tee-shirt. Another wriggle, and - pop.

"Okay, decent!"

His hair feathers were definitely a mess, though.

"Yeah, totally. I can feel it in my explorer blood." He grinned. "That's totally a thing, you know. My mom has it, and my Uncle Scrooge has it, ansmd Unca Donald kiiiiinda has it? Mostly he's just got bad luck, though..."

"Oh, they've got it too. I just have the most. And Louie totally has the least because he's always complaining about how we're all gonna diieeeee instead of, you know, actually doing the thing and getting through the obstacles and being awesome like he actually can."

He climbed up on a few crates in the alley and hopped, trying to see if he could get a glimpse over anything and see where they were headed.

"The best?! Yeah, you know it!"

He strained up on the tips of his toes.

"Not yet. But hey, what if you climbed up here and I got on your shoulders? Then I bet I could see!"
couldabeenturbo: (dew you see what I see)

"Hey, thanks." He clambered onto her shoulders, marveling at how easy it was to get his balance. Standing on Louie or Huey or Webby's shoulders, there were always shifting feathers to contend with under shirts, and you always risked pulling a few and hurting whoever gave you the boost.

"Aren't you cold all the time?" He asked, as he slowly stood up, putting his hands on her head for balance.
couldabeenturbo: (yes good)

"So weird," he said. "No offense."

Now that he was steady, he stood up as straight as he could and looked around. He couldn't see a complete path back, but a couple of tall landmark buildings were recognizable.

"I see the market guild hall. And the clock tower! That way." He pointed.
