You know your arms can't reach [Closed]
Who: Eleven and Isa
What: Eleven made a thing for Isa
Where: Eiather common room
When: Beginning of June-ish
Warnings: None so far!
It was done.
..As done as it was going to get, anyway. The shimmer across the blade wasn't completely uniform, but he risked ruining it entirely if he tried to improve it any further.
But it was done, wrapped up, and now all that was left was the delivery. As fortune had it, he knew the intended recipient entered the tower bare minutes ago.
Eleven stared at the short box in his hands. All that time finalizing the finer details, and he still hadn't sorted out what to say. They weren't quite friends even, so it was even more awkward that he'd gone and spent weeks making something for an acquaintance.
Given that standing in his room wasn't likely to suddenly solve a problem he couldn't find a solution to in the last week, he steeled himself to leave.
Eleven ventured into the common room and inhaled a steadying breath as he took a seat next to him. Naturally, that steadiness immediately vanished the moment his leg began to bounce, jostling the box in his lap.
"Hey Isa, I.. hope I'm not bothering you?"

"Hey Isa, I.. hope I'm not bothering you?"

"No, you're not bothering me."
no subject
He cleared his throat and glanced down. "I uh.. there was.."
He pursed his lips, took a breath, then tried again. "In Forging class, I learned about moonstone. It made me remember what you said about your connection to the moon and I thought.." he shrugged. "Well, maybe I could help in some way? So I made something.."
All nerves, he practically shoved the box at Isa. "A-anyway, this is for you."
no subject
"For me?" He finally finds his voice, "You-- you didn't have to..."
no subject
Eleven gestured briefly to the box. "T-there's a spell imbued into it to detect moonlight, so it's not a lot of use I guess, but I thought it could help.."
no subject
He opens the box and takes the dagger out to inspect, turning it over in his hands, admiring it's craftmanship.
He looks back at Eleven, "Thank you. It's been so long since someone gave me a gift, so I'm not... used to it."
no subject
"Moonstone," he elaborates, possibly unnecessarily. "That's when I had the idea for it. A dagger in the shape of a crescent moon, inlaid with a moonstone.. The shimmer layer came to me later, but I always knew I wanted it to guide you to- to a place where you could maybe feel something like that connection again."
no subject
"It really is... lovely..."
An subtle, sightly uncertain, smile tugs at the corner of his lips.
"Maybe if I can find that connection again it will give me the guidance I need..."
no subject
"I truly hope so. I understand very well what it is to lose that sort of connection and seek guidance. I will be very happy if something I made can help you in that way."
