[A flier for the bulletin board pops up one day out of the blue. Eiather students may have heard rumors about it or been asked to help spread the word]

Of course, darling! I'd be happy to lend you a hand. What is it you need, hmm?

I was hoping you could perform during the upcoming festival if it wouldn't be too much to ask.

[Too much to ask? Have you even met him, El?]

It would be my pleasure, honey. In fact, I was going to ask you about that if you didn't; great minds think alike, eh?

So, what sort of performance did you have in mind? The usual juggling and party tricks might not quite set the right mood for this sort of festival, after all.

[A religious festival is somewhat new territory for Sylvando, but luckily he enjoys a challenge. And livening up such an event without turning it into a circus- literally or figuratively- could be an interesting one.]

I found some stories for the gods and I thought one or a few of them could make for a good basis for some sort of performance at one of the temples.

I do love a good story. I take it you're thinking of a play then? With perhaps a bit of song, dance and magic thrown in to make the show truly divine?

If you think it's something you can manage. I know it might be a lot to ask of you. Tenn gave me a list of others who might be able to help, if you need a hand or two.

That would certainly help, yes. The Great Sylvando never disappoints an audience, after all, and something like this calls for a bit more than a one man show.

And I'll need to take a look at those stories too, of course. They'd need to be adapted into a usable script, and we'll need to get started on that right away. Care to meet up for lunch, darling? You can bring copies of the stories with you, and we can look over them together while we eat.

That's quite alright; I've got a bit of homework to be catching up with, so this actually works out nicely. Do you think you'd be ready to go by about half-past-one?

There's a little cafe in town, right near that fountain that has three swan statues as the spouts. You know the one? I hear the food there is fabulous and not too expensive. Plus, by going a bit late, we'll miss the rush so it won't be as crowded.

[And indeed, El would find Sylvando waiting for him, sitting on the edge of the fountain he'd mentioned in the directions, reading his Law textbook.]

[It's still so strange to be here like this with some of his companions, but it's nice to relax like this, no longer so concerned for the world. Eleven walks up to him with a smile and a flash of paper]

How are you classes going?

[Sylv looks up at the sound of his name, smiling and closing his textbook after quickly slipping in a colorful feather that he's using as a bookmark, and stands up to greet his friend.]

Quite well, darling! Fantastics and music are fabulous and the others are at least interesting. And yours?

[Eleven nods]

I'm getting used to them again. I wish I was able to take draconic knowledge along with the rest of it, but there's nothing I'm willing to give up for it either.

I can let you take a look at my Draconic Knowledge course book sometime if you like. It's not nearly as impressive as being in class with a dragon as your teacher, but if you're interested on reading up on the subject...

And speaking of reading, shall we head in for lunch so we can get down to business? I don't know about you, but I'm famished and very interested in those stories of yours.

['Heading in' is a relative term, since most of the cafe's seating is outdoors, though it's separated from the street by a line of roughly waist-high decorative shrubbery with spaces left here and there for entrances and exits.]

[Eleven follows Sylv to peer at the menu. He orders a sandwich and soup, then consults his sheet while they wait]

I was thinking you might be best suited to Raida's story. It's a simple one, about bringing hope back to a dispirited people.

[He glances up to Sylv with a knowing smile]

You know something about that yourself, after all.

[Sylvando ordered some savory filled pasties for himself and a pot of tea for them both to share. The café did serve wine, but it was a bit early in the day for that. Besides, they both needed to be clear-headed.

Order placed, he turns his attention to their other business, grinning at the implication.]

Just a bit, yes. Though I imagine her methods were a teeny bit different from mine.

[If not, he would very much want to meet this goddess.]

[His smile splits into a quick grin]

I imagine so, but the details on it are rather light. The story just said She blessed them with warmth and hope, lifting their spirits so they were no longer given to despair. This during the dragon wars when wizards fought to free themselves from their control.

[He makes a thoughtful noise at that, considering.]

Hmm... A lot of drama to work with then. Were there any other named characters in the story aside from the Goddess herself?

[He shakes his head]

No. I probably could have found one with more specifics, but I thought this story would apply to the current situation well. Do you think it's enough?

I'll have to read over the story in detail, but provided I can pull together a troupe, I should be able to come up with something in time to put on a good show. Though is there anything that would be a big no-no to the priests? I'm afraid I'm not very up on what kinds of things might get a person on the local deities' naughty lists.
