He quirked an eye at Atem, then. "Your kingdom?" It could mean a lot of things, sure, but there was something proprietary about the man's pronunciation. "Were you a ruler, then?" Blame the fact that Cliff is the son of a pair of them. Not that he seems like he's about to make a big deal out of it, it's more curiosity.
"A spellcasting guild. I bet that was useful! Though I bet that it was also a lot like herding cats," he chuckled. "Mostly impossible, and annoying to the cats."
