Tyzias walks in lockstep with Dust, stopping exactly six inches before the threshold. She scans the floor first. It's where most trap triggers go out of necessity; put a tripwire too high and somebody will spot it, and unless you have reliable detection techniques you can't make something motion-sensitive. Then, the ceiling. If you put the actual trap on the ceiling, it's pretty damn hard to avoid. Plus most people don't think to look up. Finally, the walls. Arrows, spikes, gouts of flame... walls are a classic placement for trap mechanisms.
