"I saw it, but I'm not sure I believe it. Looks like something from one of my dad and uncle's Dungeons and Dragons games," Isabel said, eyes wide. Was it a gauth? It was some sort of beholderkin, that much she knew, but she hadn't had a lot of time to spend playing D&D after she'd gotten into the Junior Olympics, much less Awakening to her magic back home.
As if the portal itself, still sitting there wide open, wasn't ominous itself? (It was. It really, really was, and Isabel was none too happy to see it floating in midair.)
"Um. So...what do we do? I guess it wants you." Glancing over at Eleven, her brows furrowed at that, and she smacked a fist into her palm. "Well, it's going to have to get through me first!"
