WHAT: Lena asks for Huey's help getting into her dorm room

It wasn't normally a problem for Lena when it came to staying at the Purifeul dorms. Ever since Rapunzel ended up as her roommate, she did spend a bit more time in her dorm proper, though usually still ended up spending most nights at Webby's dorm. During the occasional time she went back to her own dorm room, though, it was usually easy for her to slip in without worrying about the math lock. If she was with Rapunzel, she let the other student work on the door. Otherwise if she needed to get inside, she would wait for another student to come by and slip inside after them.

This time, though, Lena realized that she had forgotten something in her dorm room, and not wanting to wait for someone to come by, she instead sent a message to Huey asking for his help.

Because she figured he would probably be the safest bet when it came to math.

When she spotted him coming down the hall, she gave a slight wave.

"Yeah. It's kind of embarrassing, though."

"My beak is sealed, then." He completed the sentiment with a 'button-up' motion in front of said beak, then smiled. "What's up?"

"Well...I dunno if you know this about the Purifeul dorms, but the only way to get in them is by solving a math problem." She jerked her thumb at the door. "And math is...not my best subject."

He looked toward the door and on the contrary, rather than seeming to shame Lena for it, he lit up instead.

"So I just have to solve a math problem? Alright, I'll give it my best shot!"

She had a feeling he'd like that. So with an exaggerated bow, she gestured to the door.

"Have at it."

He practically hopped over to the door, wherein the magic revealed the needed equation. "6÷2(1+2) equals... Ah! It's a case of PEMDAS!" Huey chuckled some in his throat and stepped back lightly, writing in the air with his finger.

"Let's see, Parenthesis comes first so 1+2 equals 3, the multiplication can't be done until we break down that first part, and 6 divided by 2 is 3, so 3 times 3 is- 9!"

That last was done with a flourish toward the door, and he stepped back as it swung open to admit the successful student. Glowing with pride, he moved to one side and bowed, sweeping his arms toward the door.

"Your dormroom awaits."

She snickered a bit. "Thanks. Having to unlock these doors is really annoying when you're in a hurry."

"Yeah, I could definitely imagine so. But if you're not in a rush, don't be afraid to ask me for help again in the future." He gave her a smile, straightening up. "I'm not Junior Woodchuck Jamboree Math Champion two years running for nothing."

Sure, that one wasn't particularly complicated, but it could still probably trip one up if they weren't good at math and were busy and not paying attention, he supposed.

"You're definitely high up on my list," she said, then motioned inside. "You can come in, if you want."

He glanced toward the door, then nodded and walked up with her. "Sure, alright."

As they entered, she gestured about with her arms. "Welcome to the Purifeul dorm. It's about the same as everyone else's, I think."

He looked around curiously, humming lightly in his throat. "Fewer books than the Eiather dorm." A pause, then he laughed as he spoke again. "Then again, I'm pretty sure the library has fewer books than the Eiather dorm, almost."

She snickered a bit. "I was wondering whether you fit in better there or if you should've been here. Guess that answers my question."

"Well, if I'd wound up here, at least we would've been in the same dorm. That would've been nice." There was a gentle reflection in his voice, though he was looking away at the moment, at some feature of the dormroom he was passing.

"It definitely would've been interesting. We would've had to take the same classes too, so I probably would've borrowed your homework from time to time."

He glanced back at that, laughing some. "You mean, ask me for study sessions and reference my notes, right?"

She snickered. "Whatever makes you feel better."

He snickered some himself, then smiled a moment before turning to look around again.

"So... What did you need in here, anyway? Or are you coming in to relax after class?"

"Nah, I'd forgotten something here when I left this morning and wanted to grab it."

"Ohh, I see." He hesitated, then, "Well, I guess I won't keep you from... whatever you're working on."

"Nah, it's fine. Lemme grab it, and then you wanna get something to eat? I'm getting kinda hungry."

"Yeah, sure! I could definitely go for something good."

With a nod, she then hurried into her room to grab what she needed, returning in just a moment.

"All right. Let's go."

He nodded and waved her ahead of him, bringing up the rear.

"Ladies first!"

With a dip of her head, she headed out first, then waited for him to catch up.

"You feel like anything in particular?"
