In a normal fight he would probably have been right about his opponent, but Lady doesn't move. In fact, she stands her ground and discharges the necrotic magic at the same time as the flame attack to counteract it. She does feel a slight lick of the flames, but she doesn't seem all that bothered by it. As such, the lightning isn't something she has to worry about, because she didn't move into it.
Her next spell is cast at the ground, something he can't exactly see, but is very obviously making his way toward him. It ripples, tearing apart the dirt and cobble as it gets closer and closer, eventually a series of chains pop up to knock into him and, assuming they hit, throw him back.
