That could be a sign of illness. Or worse. He really hopes it isn't, but he glances at the ticking-down values of his cards and visibly flinches again. Kisara continues to give him that suspicious look, so he sighs and turns the card over. He doesn't have time to dawdle, after all.

"This is that card I mentioned---the legend based on you that made its way into the modern game. I requested them from the Anastara researchers, but the spirit of the dragon no longer trusts me. The cards are degrading every minute until I win a duel."
